I am Babeland's Workshop Coordinator, which means I train teachers, write curricula, and oversee all of the amazing workshops that we offer here at Babeland. Yes – workshops! In addition to the amazing work we do in the store every day, we are also delighted to offer two-hour workshops on a variety of topics. You can see our schedule here. Yes, I am biased, but I am over the moon about our workshop program and think everyone should check it out.

Here are the top 5 reasons:
 
1)      You will laugh. I was listening to Lucas, one of our Sex Educators, talk about anal play during our Beyond the Blowjob workshop. He explained, “The internal sphincter is like the Gandalf of the butt. If you try to push anything in before it’s ready, ‘You shall not pass’!” Not only are our Sex Educators extensively trained, but they are a witty bunch, too. Coming to our workshops is permission to get silly while you’re learning. And laughter is an aphrodisiac, don’t you know?
2)      Accurate information is hard to come by. Every magazine on the shelf promises the ‘hot secret technique that will rock your world!’ but there’s a distinct lack of quality control out there. We have been in the sex advice business for over two decades and have distilled that information into our classes. We don’t believe in magic tricks – our tips and techniques are practical and based on anatomical know-how.
3)      Practice makes perfect. People don't instinctively know how to have hot sex. The key is practice and experimentation. By offering a safe space to come in and learn techniques, like in our eternally popular Art of the Blow Job class, we want people to feel comfortable making mistakes, trying things out, and figuring what works best for them. That can really reduce performance anxiety and lead to more confidence in the bedroom.
4)      Spice up your date night or a night out with friends. Bringing a friend or lover with you to one of our workshops is fun, exciting, and sure beats another evening at your regular go-to dinner destination. Even if you’re shy about shopping at a sex toy store, coming to a workshop will give you some really awesome information to get you jump-started on your sexual journey. Our workshops are open to all genders, all ages, and all experience levels – Moregasm and The Art of Great Sex are great topics to try out.
5)      You will be the most interesting person at brunch the next day. I guarantee you will certainly have something to say (and probably something to teach!) when people ask how your weekend was.
