Getting into the mile high club should be a whole lot easier now that Virgin Air is installing double beds on flights between Britain and the US. This, of course, comes as no big surprise from an airline named "Virgin," but I am tickled that they're practically inviting couples to create a little sexual turbulence. Said one spokesperson, ""We are not going to dissuade couples from having fun as long as they don't upset others." So don't book a bed if you expect to get any sleep! What I'm wondering is whether you need to book the bed for two, or if you're single whether they'll pair you up with other horizontally-inclined travellers. Puts a whole new spin on "flying the friendly skies." And Virgin, if you're listening, we think you ought to throw in a Mile High Kit along with the champagne and blanket!
