“How do I talk dirty during sex without sounding like a whore?”

That was Jenny McCarthy’s first question when I made a guest appearance last week on her Sirius XM radio show “Dirty, Sexy, Funny with Jenny McCarthy”. It caught me off guard – it was so genuine! Even Playmate of Year 1994 Jenny McCarthy, famous for her brazenness, seems caught in our society’s messed up expectations of women’s sexuality. “Don’t say too much or you may come off as slutty.” As if having a lot of sexual experience is a bad thing.

That led us into discussing the main obstacle to whipping out the nasty talk when you’re doing it with your lover– self-consciousness. Who hasn’t felt tongue-tied when we yearn to say filthy words to someone we love in the heat of the moment? Words are so powerful! What if I wreck the moment? What if say the wrong thing? Jenny McCarthy invited Babeland in to discuss ways to get the dirty talk flowing and get our inhibitions to take get lost.

Sirius XM headquarters is a futuristic hive of celebrity activity, with dozens of glasses-in studios – a voyeur’s dream come true. One crew clears out of a studio with their star and the show’s guests, another crew goes in, each in their own world. Everyone seems like they’re probably famous.

Since her show is on satellite radio (no FCC to worry about!), Jenny McCarthy can really work blue, and she does, to the benefit of her loyal and grateful listeners. Terry from Indiana needed advice about expressing herself during sex – she felt ready and willing to talk dirty, and wanted to persuade her husband of 20 years, and a man of few words, to join in. Brenda from Nevada called to ask for help talking about her copious squirting – she and her husband are so bashful about it they manage to ignore it. Every caller in one way or another felt silenced from the inside, in need of a bit of permission to speak freely during sex.

And when we’re done, Jenny McCarthy, so real, so warm, so tall and blond, thanks me and hugs me goodbye. She and the show’s crew pack up to leave, and on their way out, greet the priests who come in to set up for the Catholic Channel.
