Celebrate Babeland’s
20th anniversary by helping us raise money for women’s health and reproductive rights. We’ve partnered with
A is For, an amazing organization founded by actress and activist
Martha Plimpton, comedian and co-creator of
The Daily Show,
Lizz Winstead, and the bassist from
Babes in Toyland, Maureen Herman, along with several other fierce feminists. You can support
A is For by coming to our fundraiser on June 13th in New York City (details
here), buying one of our
Come for a Cause toys (10% of the purchase is donated), or making a donation in our stores. When we opened the first Babeland store twenty years ago, the fight for reproductive rights was in full swing. So much has changed in the world since then, but a woman’s right to control decisions about pregnancy and birth control are still under attack across the country.
Babeland’s
mission has always been to promote sexual vitality and these issues are inextricably linked. We chose A is For as our fundraising partner to underscore the reality that sexual freedom is only possible if every woman can make her own choices about reproduction and has access to the health care she needs. We’ll wear our A is For
ribbons to promote Activism this year and we hope you’ll join us in starting a conversation that is crucial to the wellbeing of sexy people everywhere.
Peace and Pleasure,
Rachel and Claire
