The prostate, or P-spot, is a gland in the reproductive system of people assigned male at birth. It produces a component of semen - known as prostatic or prostate fluid - that contains enzymes and other elements that help to create an ideal environment for sperm and to make semen thinner and more fluid. The prostate also can help to push semen through the urethra during ejaculation.
